Botanical name (authority): Carmichaelia australis R.Br.


NZ native broom (Carmichaelia australis) is a native shrub with slender, green to grey-green leafless stems and small pea-like flowers, often white to pale pink. It forms dense, rounded shrubs with a twiggy appearance.


This plant thrives in well-drained soils with full sun and can tolerate dry, rocky, and coastal conditions.
