Botanical name (authority): Cordyline australis (G.Forst.) Endl.
Tī kōuka (Cordyline australis) is a tall, slender tree with a stout trunk, long sword-shaped leaves, and clusters of fragrant white flowers.
This tree grows best in full sun to partial shade and prefers well-drained soils; tolerant of wind and coastal exposure.
