Botanical name (authority): Pittosporum tenuifolium A.Cunn.
Black matipo (Pittosporum tenuifolium) is a small tree or shrub with glossy, dark green leaves, aromatic flowers, and black seeds enclosed in capsules.
It grows well in full sun to partial shade and prefers well-drained soils.
